Head Tutor Verne Rice DCP, PTLLS, CAVA, IQA,Cert ed
Verne is a twice NEBDN award winner obtaining the NEBDN Special Recognition Award winner 2022 for her contribution to Teaching and Training, NEBDN 2023 award winner for her contribution to dental nurse developments and has been in Dentistry for 30 years delivering the NEBDN since 2016. She has a passion for teaching, creating a fun learning environment. Verne also teaches our BLS, CPD, Impression taking courses and is an author for Dental Magazines. She obtained her Level 3 Diploma in Teacher Training in 2016 and graduated with her teaching degree September 2018. Verne also gained her Level 3 diploma Assessor CAVA award October 2023 so is now also a fully qualified assessor as well as achieving her Level 4 diploma in Quality assurance April 2024.
She also offers bespoke training for trainees in the clinical environment. In her spare time she enjoys looking after her horse, walking her dog.
Beverley Willimott Admin
Beverley is in charge of administration for Nascot and has worked as a treatment co-ordinator for over 20 years and in her spare time enjoys reading.
Cristina Ionescu DCP Marketing and Recruitment
Cristina is a Qualified Dental Nurse who manages a Dental Practice based in Surrey and is responsible for our Marketing and Recruitment. In 2018 Cristina embarked on her Dental Nurse career gaining the NEBDN Qualification in January 2020.
She now works as a Practice Manager her role includes supervising and mentoring Trainee Dental Nurses, business marketing and promotion.
She brings her wealth of experience in marketing and promotion to Nascot Dental Team Training organising events, conferences and assists with recruitment. In her spare time enjoys socialising with friends, going to the gym.
Alex Preoteasa Assessor, Tutor, DCP, CAVA ,AET, IQA
Alex has been a qualified dental nurse since 2016 and has started her dental tutoring journey in 2021. She has been working for the NEBDN qualification for the past 5 years as a dental assessor and tutor. Alex takes pride in creating a supportive environment for our learners and giving them guidance to complete their Portfolio of Experience. In her free time, she enjoys travelling with her 3 children, reading and taking care of her indoor plants.
Alex has been a qualified dental nurse since 2016, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to her role. In 2021, she embarked on her dental tutoring journey, demonstrating a commitment to education and professional development within the dental field.
For the past five years, Alex has been actively involved in the NEBDN qualification process, serving as both a dental assessor and tutor. Her dedication to this role highlights her passion for supporting learners and ensuring high standards within dental education.
Alex takes pride in creating a supportive environment for learners, offering guidance and encouragement to help them successfully complete their Portfolio of Experience. Her approach fosters confidence and growth among those she mentors.
Alex also holds NEBDN Radiography qualification, Fluoride Qualification and Introduction to Oral Health Certificate
Outside of her professional commitments, Alex enjoys travelling with her three children, reading, and caring for her indoor plants. These hobbies reflect her nurturing nature and love for exploration and learning.

Jo is a qualified assessor who brings over two decades of comprehensive dental sector experience to the team. Originally from the Yorkshire Dales, she has spent the last 18 years managing practices and clinical standards across Cheshire. Jo is highly qualified in dental compliance, holding IPC Level 2 and 3 certifications, alongside specialized skills in fluoride application. Her early career as a nanny infuses her management style with patience, exceptional communication, and a student- first philosophy. At home, she loves nothing more than relaxing with her fiancé, son, and the family dog

Tracy is a qualified assessor and tutor bringing 30 years of experience spanning clinical dental nursing and practice management,she brings a wealth of real-world expertise to dental education and learner assessment. As a registered professional holding a Level 3 Certificate in Education and Training and a Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA), her passion lies in providing exceptional, experience-led support to the next generation of dental professionals. She is able to bridge the gap between theory and daily clinical practice by translating decades of hands-on knowledge into practical, meaningful guidance for her students. Outside of her professional life, she maintains a healthy balance by enjoying long walks, practicing regular and Reformer Pilates, spending quality time with family, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

How can I find a placement?
Nascot Dental Team Training regularly have contact with practices who wish to place trainee dental nurses. However, we are not a recruitment company though will endeavour to support all students to attain a work placement though it is the responsibilities of the student to secure their own work placement to complete coursework and Examinations
How many hours do I need?
There is no Minimum of hours per week to achieve your practical portfolio
Can it be voluntary?
No,
Can it be in a Dental Hospital?
Yes, if you are working in a dental practice and you can assist in the practical requirements for your portfolio
Can I still do the course if I haven’t secured a placement at time of course starting?
You can not be enroled onto the NEBDN RQF without a placement, though we can pre register you at no cost to assist you in finding a position prior to enrolling
Do I need any experience?
No experience is required
How much does the course cost?
£1,735 all-inclusive Online
How can I pay?
£100 enrolment fee then 8 monthly payments of £137.50 (first instalment due 1 week before course commences)

Where is the Examination Centre?
All Examinations are online, students will need a laptop, Wi-Fi to complete Portfolio of Experience coursework and sit Examinations
What if I can not start my lessons and need to defer my course?
NDTT will defer you to next available course at no cost (only one deferral per student) this does not include Examination deferrals
Is there a minimum age requirement?
You must be 16 years old and legally able to work in the UK
What inoculations will I need?
Valid hepatitis B vaccination
Who will be teaching me?
All our tutors are approved by the NEBDN and hold teaching degrees with over 30 years experience in the dental field
What qualifications do I need?
No formal qualifications are required No Maths or English
